Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Shortify AI ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What the Service Does

You submit a YouTube video URL and choose a video style (Step Guide, Narrator, or Motivator). The Service transcribes the source video, uses AI to rewrite it into a brand-new, original script in your chosen style — never a copy or summary of the original wording — generates an AI voiceover, and renders a short vertical video with matching visuals. You may then download the video or, if you connect a YouTube, Facebook, or TikTok account, publish it directly.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be old enough to legally agree to these terms in your country of residence.

4. Subscriptions and Credits

New accounts start with no video credits. An administrator manually grants trial credits or activates a paid plan after you contact us — there is no automatic online payment or recurring card billing. Paid plans grant a daily video allowance for as long as the plan is active; it does not expire on a fixed schedule and continues until manually changed. Unused daily allowance does not carry over or refund.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to generate or publish content that is illegal, defamatory, infringing, misleading, or that impersonates a real person or organization without authorization. You are solely responsible for the videos you generate and for anywhere you choose to publish them, including compliance with the rules of any platform (YouTube, Facebook, TikTok) you connect.

6. Ownership of Generated Content

You own the videos, scripts, and other output generated from your submissions, subject to your compliance with these Terms. The Service is designed so that generated scripts are original work rewritten by AI from the source topic — not a copy of the source video — but we do not guarantee the output is free of all third-party rights, and you are responsible for how you use it.

7. Third-Party Platforms

Connecting a YouTube, Facebook, or TikTok account is optional and used only to publish videos at your explicit request. Your use of those platforms remains subject to their own terms of service, and we make no guarantee that your content will be approved, monetized, or treated any particular way by those platforms.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your Profile settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shortify AI is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
